Description
Is there any Tolkien quote more evocative than Not All Who Wander Are Lost? Tugs at the heart strings of every Hobbit/Lord of the Rings fan, and of those who have never read the books.
These books are A5, made with 120gsm paper. It’s stitched together using a Japanese stab binding technique, with the outer black cover folded back over itself to hide the stitching and allowing the map to show through the hand cut lettering. The shown maps of the wraparound inner cover have been re-purposed from a calendar of historical Scottish maps.
Warning: though these maps are a treat to look at, they are not necessarily accurate and should definitely not be used to guide you on a long adventure.
All books are made with a historical map of an area of Scotland — if you’re after a particular bit of Scotland, or somewhere else, message me and I’ll see what I can do.
These ones are made to order, so drop me a wee note if you’d prefer lined, graph, or dot grid paper. The standard, if no other preference is given, is blank pages.
Each book I make is hand cut, glued, and designed in my studio on the small island of Iona, resulting in a one of a kind piece, and ships with small card with information on the type of binding. (Pen for illustrating scale only and is not included in sale.) These books are made to order so please allow an extra two weeks for delivery.
